This morning the scale beamed back at me a very respectable 345.0 lbs. This means that although I’m up 1/2 lb. since yesterday, I am down 4.80 lbs. overall. Me likes it!
Ham & Eggs for breakfast! Who could ask for anything more… 🙂 Actually, a modified version as you can see in the photo to the right. Egg whites, a couple of slices of deli ham, a slice of cheese, two slices of low-cal bread and some fruit jam. Yum!
For my mid-morning snack this morning I had a bag of chips and a banana (see photo to the left). These Clancy’s chips that I pick up at Aldi’s are quite inexpensive and taste just as good as the high end brand names in my opinion.
I sure love having potato salad for lunch. It would be nice to have a huge helping of potato salad with regular mayo, but it is what it is… Actually, the low-cal mayo is pretty good. In today’s lunch salad I had some salad greens, carrots, and even some snack crackers (see photo to the right). Don’t forget that little bit of sweetness in the form of a Coke Zero to help wash it down.
I had an early dinner this afternoon. Rather healthy with some chicken noodle soup and an egg sandwich (see photo to the left). As I mentioned previously, soup seems to be a great deal diet wise as it takes a while to eat, meaning your mind will have time to catch up with your stomach and say “yes, I’m full”.
Looking for something crunch to add to my meal, I had some “Cheese Curls” snack chips, and a banana, and an apple (see photo to the right).
Now, on to one of my favorite subjects, dessert! These tiny little ice cream bars that I pick up at Aldi sure are tasty (see photo to the left). I’m not sure why the surrounding chocolate is so rich and creamy, but I will take it! They are a bit smaller than a regular ice cream bar, so even though they are much richer in taste, they still are only about 150 calories per bar.
I was quite hungry later on this evening so I needed something that would really fill me up. I settled on potatoes, my old stand by, in the form of “air fryer” fries with some ketchup (see photo to the right).
Just before bed this evening I had a nice big mug of coffee with some oat milk.
I didn’t get to the rowing machine today, but I did have a 60 minute “light” swim in our local public swimming pool. Summer is almost over so this might be the last time this year for a “pool dip”. Will this help counter balance the ice cream and other snacks I had today? Let’s see what the scale says tomorrow!
