I weighed in at 347.0 lbs. this morning (see photo to the left). Pretty high weight to start off this diet plan, but it is what it is…
Here’s how I did today! The following rules are based in order of importance…
[Yes/No] Rule #1: Spend your day focusing on something other than food. You will save a lot of time not having to prep during this plan, so what will you spend your time on?
I think one of the most important things that you can do when trying to lose weight is to stop thinking about food! As such, I decided that I would try to sell some videos on Fiverr. I spent a lot of time today formatting some videos for sale. At the end of the day I had my gig up… Feels good. It got my mind off eating as well… 🙂
[Yes/No] Rule #2: I can only eat for 8 hours a day maximum. This means that I will be fasting for a minimum of 16 hours each day.
I started eating just after noon, and finished eating around 7:30 pm this evening, so that’s about 7.5 hours of eating today, well under the 8 hours allotted.
[Yes/No] Rule #3: I did adhere to the following allowed eating guidelines today.
During my eating hours I am allowed one of the following choices:
Daily Option #1) [Potatoes] + [French style green beans] + [one salad] + [one 100 calorie dessert].
Daily Option #2) [Potatoes] + [three pieces of fruit; apples, oranges, bananas] + [one salad] + [one 100 calorie dessert].
Daily Option #3) [One cheat meal all within one hour] + [one vegetable: carrots, peas, mushrooms, lettuce, cabbage] + [one salad] + [one 100 cal. dessert].
Daily Option #4) [No potatoes] + [Only one of these mentioned below (as many times as you want) during the day].
a) Egg white sandwich: two slices low calorie bread, egg whites, slice cheese, deli meat.
b) Burrito wrap: one large low calorie wrap, egg whites or deli meat, lettuce.
The following condiments are allowed each day: ketchup, mustard, salsa, 1 tablespoon lite mayo/relish/ketchup dressing.
I had a bowl of potatoes from the air fryer for my first meal today (see photo to the right). I added some French beans and plenty of ketchup.
The photo to the left shows the can of French style green beans that I ate today. Finished off the whole can!
I am allowed to have a salad today, so I decided to have some cabbage and carrots (see photo to the right). I had a tablespoon of lite mayo, ketchup, and relish for dressing.
For my main meal this evening I had a large plate of potatoes from the air fryer (see photo to the left). I can’t believe how great it is to have an air fryer around the house. Add plenty of ketchup and you are good to go!
No dessert today. I didn’t have a big sweet tooth today for some reason.
[Yes/No] Rule #4: During the 16 hours I am fasting I am allowed zero calorie beverages like tea and coffee with some creamer. I am also allowed zero calorie sodas and water of course.
I had about 3 cups of coffee with zero-calorie beverage in my “rest hours” today and 2 cans of diet Coke.
[Yes/No] Rule #5: Each day I will have my daily vitamins.
I didn’t have my vitamins sorted and ready today, so no, I didn’t take any today.
[Yes/No] Rule #6: I will drink at least 3 cups of water each day.
I drank 3 cups of water throughout the day today.
[Yes/No] Rule #7: I will exercise for 30 minutes each day, whether a cardio or weights or abs workout.
I spent 30 minutes on the rowing machine while I watched the news this evening.
[Yes/No] Rule #8: I will spend at least some time doing TM or meditation today.
I did 30 minutes of TM in the living room this evening.
