I weighed in at 340.3 lbs. this morning. This means that I have gained 1.5 lbs. since yesterday, but on the positive side of the coin I am still down a total of 9.5 lbs. overall.
For breakfast this morning I had one of my mainstays, my egg white and ham and cheese creation (see photo to the right) along with two slices of bread with fruit spread.
For lunch today I thought I would have something a bit different. I saw this can of spaghetti & meatballs in the pantry (see photo to the left), and since I’m stick it sure looked like it would warm my tummy and hit the spot. It was fun and tasty to dip two slices of Aldi Keto bread into the sauce.
I had a rather small dessert today…one of the Aldi truffles (see photo to the right). Did I mention that they are only 70 calories? Since they are so tasty and rich, you feel like you had a great dessert after only one. All this for 70 calories! Such a winner!
I had an early dinner today. My wife made some potatoes and chicken with some ketchup (see photo to the left), and I sure enjoyed it. She marinates the chicken overnight, so it soaks in the juices and spices and is tasty and tender.
Looking for a bit of crunch, as you know I often do, I had a bag of chips (see photo to the right). These ones were cheddar and sour cream and were a great addition to the chicken & potatoes! I also had a pink lady apple, which you can see in the same photo.
Still hungry I looked around the kitchen and found a banana (see photo to the right). This one didn’t look too ripe, but it was. Let me take a second here to talk about the humble banana. What a great food! It’s sweet so it does great as a dessert. It comes in it’s own packaging…just rip down the sides, and it’s “kinda bulky”, so you get a lot of food for say what, about 100 calories! What a great deal!
I am still fighting off this virus or something, so I thought I would have a nap. It ended up to be two hours in length, and when I got up I decided that I would have a tasty wrap as I watched the evening news. In this wrap I had a low-cal tortilla, lettuce, chicken, potatoes, pickles, cabbage, and a bit of hot sauce (see photo to the right).
Did you notice that I didn’t have any ice cream today? Let me remedy this now! I had one of the FatBoy ice cream bars (see photo to the left). There is only one left so I will need to make another Aldi run soon.
As I finish off this blog post this evening I’m finishing off my traditional mug of coffee with evaporated milk. I’m not sure if today was a good day eating wise or not, but I’m sure that the scale will either rule in my favor or against tomorrow morning. I am feeling sick, so in some ways this makes me eat less, but in other ways I’m miserable and food does provide comfort… We’ll see what the scale says tomorrow!
