I’m not feeling very good today, so I slept in late… When I did get up the scale said I weighed 342.1 lbs. (see photo to the left). This means that I’m down 0.20 lbs. since yesterday, and 7.70 lbs. overall.
For my first bit of food for the day I had an egg sandwich, turkey, cheese, and egg white to be more exact (see photo to the right). You can see the little seeds and sprinkles from the Trader Joe’s “Everything But The Bagel” spice as well.
I was still hungry so I decided to have another egg sandwich, but this time I decided to microwave the ham & cheese on top of the egg. It kind of made a cheese melt so to speak (see photo to the left). I really love the taste of the melted cheese… It added a whole new dimension to the sandwich.
You need dessert to finish off a meal, right? Even breakfast! So, I finished off the cherry cobbler that I made yesterday (see photo to the right).
For lunch today I had a salad. Tiny potatoes, cabbage, carrots, green pepper, spices, and a touch of Miracle Whip (see photo to the left). I’ve really gotten addicted to salad, which I believe is a good thing.
For my evening meal I had another sandwich. At only 45 calories per slice, the bread I get makes sandwiches a “go to” diet meal. Tonight’s sandwich was a turkey/cheese/tomato sandwich (see photo to the right). Delish!
As I mentioned earlier today, I’m not feeling well, so I thought some chicken noodle soup would be a good fit for my evening meal as well. I downed the Trader Joe’s version (see photo to the left) and it sure hit the spot. Why does chicken noodle soup feel sooo… good when you are sick?
Longing for a bit of crunch, I also had some potato chips (see photo to the right).
Finishing off my eating for today (not counting my customary coffee that is) I had some more cherry cobbler (see photo to the left). I had to make another dish of it today as yesterday’s just evaporated in the midst of a hungry family. If you do try something like this in the future I do encourage you to add a squirt of whipped cream from the can. The creaminess of the whipped cream goes with the tartness of the cherries so well.
So, I’m about to call it a day. Finishing off a mug of coffee with some evaporated milk as I write this. See you tomorrow!
