I weighed in this morning at 343.0 lbs., which means I am down 1.1 lbs. since yesterday (Yeah!), and 6.8 lbs. overall. I continue to be amazed at how much food you can eat, and still lose weight, when you limit high caloric foods like oils and dessert.
For breakfast this morning I had a combination breakfast of “French Toast” (see photo to the right), and “Egg Sandwich” (see photo to the left). There is no need to limit what type of foods I eat, just the calories (500 calories per meal).
For lunch today I thought I would have something a bit different, so I had some cereal and a peanut butter sandwich (see photo to the left). I’m not sure what it is about peanut butter, but it sure feels good in the tummy when you are restricting calories. Perhaps it is the creamy taste and it fills in all the gaps of the tummy? Not sure, but it works for me.
I “kinda” broke my rule today as I didn’t really separate my calories into three snacks per day, but rather had a wrap this afternoon when I felt a bit of a tinge for something different (see photo to the right).
This evening I had a nice big plate of “air fryer” fries and ketchup (see photo to the left). Potatoes are a wonder food! They really fill you up and are relatively low in calories if you don’t add cheese or butter.
For dessert this evening I had an ice cream cone that I spotted in the freezer (see photo to the right). These things don’t usually last long, so the kids must have missed it.
Just before bed I had a huge mug of coffee with some oat milk. I was thinking of doing some exercise this evening, but I didn’t get to it. I bet if I stop losing calories on this diet you will see me hopping on the exercise machine!
I think one of the great things about this diet is that you don’t really obsess about food. I used to count calories of all my meals on a tracker in the past, down to the calorie, and it became a bit too much. Once you learn the basic calories of the foods you eat, you can eat “within the range”. This is a freeing thing as you can focus more on enjoying your meal rather than stressing out about the actual recording of it.
